Vitis Orthodontic Wax is a dental wax that provides a protective layer to prevent irritation and chafing caused by orthodontic appliances.
The wax is recommended for patients who experience rubbing, inflammation, abrasion, or discomfort due to their orthodontic appliance.
Vitis Orthodontic Wax is applied after placement of the orthodontic appliance or after successive adjustments.
The wax is made of a synthetic microcrystalline wax that creates a thin layer of protection between the appliance and the gum.
Vitis Orthodontic Wax should be placed over the areas of the orthodontic appliance that are causing discomfort to ensure a thin protective layer is formed.
This wax is particularly useful for the various orthodontic appliances that protrude from the teeth, such as brackets, arch wires, or metal bands which may cause chafing by rubbing against the tongue or inner cheeks.
